Shhhhhh!
Be very quiet
Don't dare to breathe
Lest you fright it
It's very ugly
To you it's small
Though to its own
It might be tall
I speak of course
Of the Brownie
He comes from another
Very small townie
I do not speak
Of succulent treats
Nor about
Chocolate sweets
I speak of a troublesome, loathsome
Little man
Who loves to cause trouble
As much as he can
Written for Chelsea Murray, one of my very best friends, and always my sister.
Wings flutter softly
Stirring cold air
Disturbing one human
With crumpled hair
The human stays sleeping
Though not far to wake
If she stops dreaming
Fairy's leave she must take
The human's name's Chelsea
The fairy does know
She's been once before
To this human's abode
She's wondering widely
She's ready to snoop
But Chelsea's hair is distracting
She just wants one loop
As soon as she's done
She flies up real high
Up to the shelf
Where all the books lie
She's heard sweet songs
She's sung light duets
But these books int'rest her
More than she lets
She lights on one book
And lets it slide free
She opens it up
And leans on one knee
As she is reading
She hears a slight sound
She looks to the form
Asleep on the ground
She realizes she's found
But she doesn't move fast
This human's a friend
She realized at last
The human gets up
Says "Man, I can't sleep
The creatures in here
Are ready to peep
"I can feel them inside
Though I can't see them clear
If Chelsea were up
She's see what was here
"Don't worry, Dear Fairy,
Don't fear none from me
I won't hurt you once
Even if I could see"
The fairy relaxes
In closet, on shelf
The human does leave
Off by herself
The fairy continues
To ready by moonlight
When suddenly
She sees a strange sight
The girl in the bed
Was smiling sweet
With innocence
That no evil could beat
Taught from birth
That humans were cruel
She beheld this sight
And found a new rule
Innocence
Is given at birth
It's easy to lose
Even at one's own hearth
But if one's own heart
Is kept just and pure
Untainted by hate
Mythological lure
Looking to the east to see fur so white
Looking to the south to see legs so long
Looking to the west to see feet so light
Looking to the sea to see heart so strong
Seemingly like from the heavens above
Wishing, wanting to see this unicorn
Once upon a time such a sight to love
Yet to see once more this sight so forlorn
Wondering but there can only be one
Throughout this world and at any one time
Going through this world easily undone
By a touch skin to skin by your hand or mine
No one has seen one nor knows where it went
It can only be seen by innocent
(Inspired by The Last Unicorn By Peter S. Beagle, and the movie "Legend")

Mother is the clown
Juggling this and that
Ruben is the man
Getting fired from the cannon
Mary is the ringmaster
Laughing at the hullabaloo
Michelle is hiding in a corner
Trying hard not to guffaw
George is running back and forth
Trying to fix the broken
Robert, of course, is trying
to make a profit
I'm watching from about
Standing of the tight rope
Balancing their fate in my hands

Once upon a time,
A long time ago,
I never would have seen
I never would have known
We were perfect once
Deeply in love
I never would have seen
I never would have known
How could you break
My once unbroken heart
I never would have seen
I never would have known
It's happened twice now
In my messed up world
I never would have seen
I never would have known
Before in innocence
Before these things I know
I never would have seen
I never would have known
Now that I've been broken
Now that I'm alone
I never would have seen
I never would have known
If I was the person
That I know that I am now
I never would have seen
I never would have known
Once upon a time
Will never come again
Now that I have seen
Now that I have known
Murphy you know
It might not show
He said with a trill
"What can go wrong will!"
If I were a fox
I'd never get stuck in a box
I'd always be running
Using my cunning
And I would never get lost
I wish to be insane
Cause then I'd have a name
I'd babble a little
Riot with Kittle
Then I'd shake out my mane
If you don't just sit there
I'll duck tape you to the chair
Please be quiet
Or you won't like it
I'll duck tape your mouth and your hair
Living, learning, going by
Life becoming wide
Stretching, thinning, eyes go dull
Slowly die inside
Cutting to feel alive
Running with the wolves
Ignoring blatant snide replies
Wishing to be loved
Feeling pain is better than
Feeling nothing right
Rather feel pain than
Feel another's blight
Wishing, wanting, craving life
Though I'm dead inside
Walking corpse though no one sees
The strife within my mind
Hearing voices no one hears
Craving silence sweet
Never hearing what they say
Nor the fate I'll meet
Wishing pain unto myself
Not another's life
Wond'ring when my world will end
Ending all this strife
Lovely, lovely death in sight
Maybe soon to come
Wishing that I had the might
To end this and be done
Never to return again
Soul wond'ring free
It's been gone awhile now
Though no one can see
Soul brought back by song alone
Its lilting melody
Voice rising higher, higher
The only way I'm free
Narrative
Hoping, wishing, wondering why
Dreaming, dieing, falling
Friendship flying slowly by
Musing, laughing, calling
Alliterative
Justice, juggling, jingling, jumping
Hoping, hugging, hiding
Running, ruining, ridding right
Loving, loathing, lying
Punch line
Lovely, homely, calmly gone
Deathly, sickly, pale
Wishing, hoping, something wrong
Tornado's gusty gale
You may have a chance
to fly high and free
Whether in a balloon
or wings of ivory
You may have a chance
to run far and wide
Whether down on the plains
or a world your own to hide
You may have a chance
to sing out your soul
Whether singing high
or singing low
To whom it may concern:
if you get a chance
Run and fly and sing
and don't forget to dance
Moonlight trailing a
Simple path across water
Reflecting my face
People walking by
Their lives are so minuscule
Compared to the world
Trees blow in the wind
Air bending but not breaking
Howling in defeat
What to ask?
Just one question
Just one line
What to ask?
Just one page
Just one rhyme
What to ask?
To be or not
To hear the lot
To see the plot
Undo the knot
What to ask?
Kasi-
Completely psychotic, considered strange
Who has several siblings, but none by blood
Who loves reading and writing plus walking with friends
Running, playing games with kids, having fun
Who can't stand to see someone in pain
Who can't stop smiling around babies
Who wants one of her own
Who lives in a place everyone knows
All covered in vines that tickle your toes

i sing of ninjas
dilivering you food
of diliverators
running to your door
i sing of silence
and never knowing we are there
of spotters
making sure you don't see
I sing of driving
extra really fast
of drivers
pushing wrong buttons
i sing of making
it in less that 30 minutes
of navigators
telling us the turns
i sing of food
cooking in back the van
of chefs
yelling at the driver
i sing of seppuku
if we are later than 30 minutes
of sword and star
and making sure your food is there
Running-
Saving one's own hide
Fleeing from the fight
Cowardice at night
Cowardice in flight
Fighting-
Giving of one's self
Never on the shelf
Courage through the fear
Courage far and near
why does silence speak?
beautiful, serene
listening is sweet
but why does silence speak?
foretelling a lie
ony Gaia knows why
why does silence speak?
the sun on my cloudy day
will always come
and always stay
staying close
not far away
my sister will never stray
chelsea my light at day
Just like the wolf
And his pack
Or should I say her.
I have a pack
All my own
I watch over them
Until they’re grown
I hold them
Until they’re steady
Stand by them
Until they’re ready
To be off
On their own
Then I stand
All alone
Alfa. Mother.
Friend. Protector.
All expected
Of their leader
